This course offers a study of American History from the Colonial Period through the period of the “Roaring Twenties”. Topics include the American Revolution, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, Growth of Political Parties, Westward Movement, Civil War and Reconstruction and the Emergence of Modern America. The organization of the course may be topical or chronological, and utilizes primary and secondary source materials in researching and drawing evidence-based conclusions about historical problems and issues.
